After the mixed success of Google Nexus 9 tablet, Taiwanese smartphone and tablet maker HTC wants to try its luck in the high-end segment for tablets in India, it seems.

New import data suggests HTC dispatched the upcoming 2PMW100 tablet in India for testing.

The HTC 2PMW100 tablet was first spotted last month when the tablet passed the Bluetooth certification on 16 May, 2015. The Bluetooh.org website wrote "2PMW100 is a Tablet support following features: HFP 1.6 HSP A2DP AVRCP 1.3 PBAP MAP OPP PAN HID HOGP GAVDP 1.2," as design description for the tablet.

The HTC 2PMW100 reached Bangalore Air Cargo at 11 June. The cargo description says the price of the upcoming tablet will be ₹29,705, which implies the HTC 2PMW100 will be a high- end tablet.

Although there is no other information available, we can speculate it will be another Android driven tablet and will come powered with specifications similar to Nexus 9.

The Google Nexus 9 features a 8.9-inch display, 1536x2048 pixels resolution with a screen-to-body ratio of 69.90%. Powered by a NVIDIA Tegra K1 Processor, the Nexus 9 tablet features 2GB RAM, 16GB/32GB built-in storage and a 6700 mAh battery. Featuring a 8MP+1.6MP camera combination, the Nexus 9 tablet runs on the latest Android Lollipop operating system.

The Nexus 9 16GB Wi-Fi only edition is currently available for ₹24,900 on Amazon.in. By contrasting both the prices, you can easily understand the specification of HTC 2PMW100 will be similar or higher than Google Nexus 9.

Few months ago, HTC imported another tablet to India for similar purpose. Named H7, the tablet was quoted at a unit price of ₹9,565 in the import data. GSMArena reports the H7 tablet features a 1.2GHz quad-core processor backed with 1GB RAM and 16GB onboard storage.

Both the HTC 2PMW100 and HTC H7 are expected to be released soon across the globe.
