The first look launch of Sivakarthikeyan's "Remo" has got bigger as director Shankar, who is currently busy with his mega-budget film "2.0" aka "Enthiran 2," is part of the event. The filmmaker will be launching the posters at the event, which will be held on Thursday, June 23.

The news was formally announced by Anirudh Ravichander on Twitter. He wrote, "The creator of #Remo, our most favourite and dearest @shankarshanmugh sir will launch the #RemoFL and #Remoneekadhalan song on June 23. [sic]"

The film's hero, Sivakarthikeyan, thanked Shankar in advance for agreeing to launch the first look of his film. He tweeted, "Thank u so much @shankarshanmugh sir for ur valuable time. [sic]"

The title of the movie is believed to be inspired by a character from Shankar's "Anniyan," which starred Vikram in the lead role. Hence, his presence at the first look launch adds more value to the event. Along with the first look, the makers will be unveiling the title song of the film.

Meanwhile, the first look making video, which was released on June 20, has managed to generate a lot of buzz around the movie. So far, it has garnered over 2 lakh hits on YouTube. 

"Remo" is a romantic-comedy movie, which has been written and directed by Bhagyaraj Kannan. RD Raja-produced movie has Keerthy Suresh in the female lead. Leading filmmaker KS Ravikumar is playing an important role in the flick, which has the music of Anirudh Ravichander, PC Sreeram's cinematography and Ruben's editing.

The shooting of the movie has been completed and dubbing works are underway. The movie is expected to hit the screens in the next two months.
