Manju Warrier and Rima Kallingal starrer "Rani Padmini" and Mohanlal's "Kanal" have opened to average responses after they were released during Vijayadashmi festival.

The Aashiq Abu directorial is expected to have collected a gross amount of Rs 29.18 lakh on Monday, 26 October. The film is said to have collected approximately Rs 1.66 crore within four days (net - 1.30 crore, share - 76 lakhs) of its release and had reportedly collected Rs 38 lakh on its first day (23 October).

However, superstar Mohanlal's latest outing "Kanal", directed by M Padmakumar, has opened to mixed reviews and had low occupancy at theatres during the weekend. The film is said to have collected approximately Rs 2 crore in three days.

Meanwhile, Prithviraj Sukumaran's "Ennu Ninte Moideen" (ENM), "Amar Akbar Anthony" (AAA) and Mammootty's "Pathemari" still rule the Kerala box office despite the release of "Rani Padmini" and "Kanal".

As per Kerala Box Office, "ENM" and "AAA" top the box office in Kerala from the collections and theatre occupancy on the previous weekend. Also, Prithviraj has become the Kerala box office hero with his back-to-back blockbusters.

RS Vimal's "ENM" is still running housefull in some screens throughout Kerala even after one month of its release and has collected more than Rs 31.2 crore in 37 days. The film was recently released abroad and the overseas box office collection from the US is almost $67,836 [INR 44.02 lacs] and the UK - £23,063 [INR 22.98 lacs].

The Nadirshah directorial comedy film, starring Prithviraj, Indrajith Sukumaran and Jayasurya has grossed more than Rs 11.20 crore within eight days of its release with a net amount of Rs 9.02 crore. The film has become the biggest opener after Nivin Pauly's blockbuster hit "Premam".

"Pathemari" is also enjoying a good run at the Kerala box office and is said to have grossed more than Rs 6.5 crore, as per the reports on Sunday.
