Popular cinematographer-turned-director Rajeev Ravi is all set to begin the shooting of his upcoming directorial in Mumbai by the end of September. Latest reports suggest that the National Award-winning cinematographer will leave for Mumbai soon for the pre-production works of the untitled film.

The film, with Dulquer Salmaan in the lead role, will be Rajeev's first directorial venture to be shot outside Kerala. His previous films "Annayum Rasoolum" (2013) and "Njan Steve Lopez" (2014) were shot in Kochi and Thiruvananthapuram, respectively.

The film will also have Vinayakan, Vinay Forrt and Shine Tom Chacko in significant roles.

The screenplay of the upcoming movie is expected to be written by actor P Balachandran, who had previously scripted films like "Ivan Megharoopan", "Police", "Mansam", "Agni Devan", "Thacholi Varghese Chekavar", "Pavithram", "Ulladakkam" and "Uncle Bun".

Dulquer will join the sets of Rajeev's project after he wraps up the shooting of Martin Prakkat's film "Charlie", which has Parvathy in the female lead role. The young star has back-to-back projects till 2016. Apart from "Charlie" and Rajeev's film, he also has Sameer Tahir's and Mani Ratnam's Tamil movie in his kitty.
