The upcoming Dileep film, directed by Siddharth Bharathan is titled as "Chandrettan Evideya". The film, which is touted as a complete family entertainer has Vedhika and Anusree in pivotal roles.
For Vedhika, this would be her second film with Dileep. She had made her debut in Malayalam with the Dileep starrer "Shringaravelan" (2013) and is currently waiting for her second Malayalam release, "Cousins".
For Anushree, this will be the first time that she is cast opposite Dileep. The actress had made a huge leap as an actress with the release of her latest hit flick, "Ithihasa". Her appearance and daredevil act in the woman-centric movie garnered positive reviews from critics and audience alike.
The story, screenplay and dialogues of "Chandrettan Evideya" is penned by Santhosh Echikkanam, who had earlier wrote for films like "Nidra", "Bachelor Party", "Annayum Rasoolum" and "Njan Steve Lopez".
The cinematography of the film is handled by Shyju Khalid and the editing is done by Bavan Sreekumar. The music of the film is composed by Prasanth Pillai who had previously composed songs for films like "Nayakan", "City of God", "Shaithan" (Hindi), "Nidra", "David" (Hindi/ Tamil), "Amen", "Zachariyayude Grabhamikal", "Ezhu Sundara Rathrikal" and "Mosayile Kuthira Meenukal".
As for Dileep, it is going to be yet another busy year with back-to-back schedule. He is currently shooting for debutant Suresh Diwakar's big-budget film, "Ivan Maryadharaman", along with Nikki Galrani.
The actor will join Jeethu Joseph for his film, "Life of Josutty", which will have three heroines. The film will be shot in three schedules and is set to release in July, after which he will join the sets of "Chandrettan Evideya".
The next in line is "King Liar", which will mark the return of Siddique-Lal duo. It is scheduled to release for Onam. Dileep has also signed films of Sreebala, Ajay Vasudevan and Rathish Ambatt.
For Siddharth, this is his second directorial. His first venture, "Nidra" (2012), which was a romantic thriller, failed to make a mark in the box office, despite receiving positive reviews from critics.
"Chandrettan Evideya" is produced by Sameer Thahir, Shyju Khalid and Ashiq Usman under the banner of Handmade Films.
