A still from Dhanush's Hindi movie.IB Times India

Dhanush's entry to Kannada films with a song has become the talk of Sandalwood. The actor has crooned a song for Shivaraj Kumar starrer "Vajrakaya" and it is his first track outside Kollywood.

How much did Dhanush get to sing the song? Reportedly, the "Kolaver di" hitmaker refused to take remuneration because of his good relationship with Shivanna, and this forced the makers of the film to give him an expensive gift.

Well, Dhanush has been given a watch, which is reportedly worth ₹4 lakh, and the Tamil star thanked the film unit for it. The multifaceted personality crooned the track a few days ago in a Chennai studio and the "Vajrakaya" team is now excited about the track.

The opening line of the song begins with the words "No problem". Dhanush was offered to sing the track as it is similar to "Kolaveri di" song. The number has been written by lyricist Mohan and Arjun Janya has composed the music.

Director A. Harsha has recorded the singing to release it on YouTube. He hopes to create a good buzz around the song through this video clip.

This is the second time Dhanush is doing a favour to his friend from Sandalwood. Earlier, he had attended the success meet of Kannada movie "Sanju Weds Geetha" after actress Ramya aka Divya Spandana invited him to grace the occasion.

The forthcoming Kannada film "Vajrakaya", produced by C. R. Manohar has newcomers Nabha Natesh, Karunya Ram of "Eradane Maduve" fame and Telugu actress Priyanka Chandra in the female lead roles.
