Deepika Padukone, who is all set for the release of her film "Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani", revealed that her co-star and ex-boyfriend, Ranbir Kapoor, is possessive about her.
Speaking on the occasion of the film's first look launch on Tuesday Deepika said nonchalantly, "Ranbir is possessive about me (smiles). It feels like it's my first film. I am excited about it," reported IANS.
When questioned about the dialogue 'Main tumahare saath 2 min bhi rahi toh muje pyaar ho jayega tumse, Phir se' in the film's trailer, Deepika's response was, "I would like to say the chemical combination has been tested before and then we agreed to do the film."
On his pairing-up with the doe-eyed beauty after a gap of four years Ranbir Kapoor said, "I was amazed and happy, looking the way she has grown as an actress. She is extremely intelligent and has a pretty smile, so it is easy to act as like you are in love with her."
Recently, it was reported that Deepika admitted to Shahrukh Khan that she had wished to marry Ranbir when they were in a relationship.
The heartthrob had also confessed that he wanted to settle down but had dropped the idea on the advice of his friend-cum-director Ayan Mukherjee.
"One should not keep deadline for marriage...kids. I was in hurry to get married. I was looking forward to getting married four years back...settle down. But it was (director) Ayan Mukherjee who told me not to do so and focus on my career as I had just started, and have fun," the 30-year-old actor said at a recent press conference.
The Ayan Mukherjee-directed film also features Kalki Kochelin and Aditya Roy Kapoor. The film is to hit theatres on 31 March.
