Debby Ryan, the star of Disney Channel original series "Jessie", is turning 22 on Wednesday, 13 May. Ryan, who has been acting professionally since the age of seven, is also known for her role as Bailey in "The Suit Life on Deck".
Her 2010 young adult film, "16 Wishes", got Ryan a wide viewership, especially among the adult audiences. However, it is her titular role in "Jessie" that gave her the current popularity.
Ryan even helped create the shows, so that she could relate with the character of Jessie, a nanny who hopes to become a star in New York. She also became the youngest female to ever direct a Disney Channel production, when she directed "Coffee Talk", episode 20 in season 3 of "Jessie".
However, she will soon be graduating from Disney after the completion of season 4 of her show. Ryan has also appeared in the ABC show "Private Practice" as a recovering drug addict, garnering many positive responses.
