The International Cricket Council (ICC) Champions Trophy 2013, which is considered as second in importance only to Cricket World Cup, is all set to begin on 6 June in England.

India will take on South Africa in the opening game on 6 June at Cardiff, Wales, and the tournament will conclude on 23 June.

Champions Trophy is a One Day International (ODI) cricket tournament played every two years and features top eight nations in the ICC ODI Rankings. The countries that will participate this year are Australia, England, India, New Zealand, Pakistan, South Africa, Sri Lanka and West Indies.

England, who have not lifted the trophy since the conception of the tournament in 1998, will be keen to win the coveted title before the home crowd.
