Telugu actor Kondavalasa Lakshmana Rao, who is known for his comedic timing, died of age-related illness in Hyderabad on Monday. He wass 69.
The fans of the celeb have been mourning his death on social media.
Kondavalasa Lakshmana Rao was admitted to the NIIMS Hospital in Hyderabad more than a year ago. He was reportedly being treated for many illnesses for the last one-and-a-half year. He breathed his last at the hospital on Monday evening, according to reports.
Born in Srikakulam on 10 August, 1946, Kondavalasa Lakshmana Rao started his career as a theatre artiste and performed in over 1,000 stage shows. Impressed with his comic quotient, director Vamsy roped him in for his 2002 romantic comedy film "Avunu Valliddaru Ista Paddaru" featuring Ravi Teja and Kalyani in the leads.
Kondavalasa Lakshmana Rao was successful in impressing the viewers with his comedic timing. "Aithe okey", a dialogue from the movie, helped him hog the limelight. There was no looking back after that for this talented comedian, who went on to be featured in over 65 Telugu movies.
Besides working with leading actors of the industry, Kondavalasa Lakshmana Rao curved a niche for himself. "Donga Ramudu & Party", "Simhadri, "Sathyam", "Evadi Gola Vadide", "Kanchana Mala Cable TV", "Rakhi" and "Sainikudu" are some of the movies that hold mirror to his talent. He was last seen in 2014 film "Sri Vasavi Kanyaka Parameswari Charitra".
The Telugu film industry is shattered to learn of the demise of Mada Venkateswara Rao and Kallu Chidambaram. Now, the sudden death of Kondavalasa Lakshmana Rao is another great loss for the industry, which has lost three talented comedians in a span of 15 days.
