Chiru151 updates: Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Vidya Balan in race to romance Chiranjeevi

Bollywood actresses Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Vidya Balan are reportedly in a race to romance megastar Chiranjeevi in next movie, which is tentatively known as Chiru151.

With his comeback movie Khaidi No 150 turning blockbuster at the box office, Chiranjeevi is now gearing upto start shooting for his next project and he is teaming up with director Surender Reddy for this movie. The megastar is yet to make an official announcement about this untitled project, but its pre-production works are said to be now underway and the team is busy erecting a huge set for the film in Hyderabad.

The buzz in the industry is that the makers want to rope in popular B-Town girl to play the female lead opposite Chiranjeevi and they are considering the names of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Vidya Balan for it. Surender Reddy is said to have already approached both of them and currently, they are in talks for the same.

"Surrender Reddy is planning to cast a Bollywood actor as Chiranjeevi's wife in the film and has already initiated deliberations with actors Aishwarya Rai and Vidya Balan. He doesn't want to take a chance and is hoping that one among them will certainly be on board for the film to be made on budget of Rs 125 crore," English daily quoted a source as saying.

Chiru151 is touted to be a historical biopic movie, based on life of the first freedom fighter Uyyalawada Narasimhareddy, who hailed from from Telugu land. Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy is an unsung hero who fought the British even before the 1857 revolt. He was hanged to death by the British in 1847.

It is rumoured that dialogue writer Sai Madhav Burra who shot to fame with the movies Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum, is being brought on board. Chiranjeevi was reportedly impressed with Madhavi's dialogue in Gautamiputra Satakarni and it is he who suggested his name to director Surender Reddy.
