Power star Pawan Kalyan is reportedly set to launch the 150th film of his brother megastar Chiranjeevi and the opening ceremony of this landmark film will be held in Hyderabad on April 29.

The makers of Chiranjeevi's 150th movie made an official announcement about its launch on April 25. The reports suggest that its pooja ceremony will be held at 1:30 p.m. in Hyderabad on Friday, which will be attended by bigwigs of the Telugu film industry. The producers are expected to make an official announcement on the details of its cast and crew and the shooting soon.

It is reported that Chiranjeevi wanted to start his 150th film in June, but couldn't find an auspicious day to launch the same. So the actor decided to hold its muhurat on April 29 after consulting a few pundits. It is not known when he will start shooting the film. "Once the film is officially launched, there is no need to wait for an auspicious day to start the shoot," a source close to Chiru told Deccan Chronicle.

According to the buzz on social media, Chiranjeevi will start shooting for the film in June, but it is yet to be confirmed by its makers. A fan named Karthik Naidu tweeted, #Chiru150 muhurtam on 29th April Regular Shoot start frome June January release #Chiranjeevi #RamCharan."

The makers of Chiru's 150th movie are said to be planning a special inaugural function in June. Karthik Naidu further tweeted, "The Mega family fans have been desperately waiting for the comeback movie of Chiranjeevi, ever since he plunged into politics back in."

Rumours of Chiranjeevi's comeback movie started doing the rounds after the actor-turned-politician suffered severe setback in the Lok Sabha elections in 2014. A lot has been spoken and written about the movie ever since. Several speculations were made about its story, shooting , cast and crew.

Chiru's 150th film is said to be a remake of Vijay's blockbuster Tamil film "Kaththi" and VV Vinayak has been brought on board to direct him. Chiru's son Ram Charan, who is producing the film with his mother Surekha, confirmed last year that its shooting start after Sankranthi in 2016. But its production took the back seat due to Chiranjeevi's shoulder surgery and his daughter Sreeja's wedding.
