The South Indian state Tamil Nadu has been witnessing one of its worst series of downpours for weeks, disrupting normal life.

The India Meteorological Department has now predicted Tamil Nadu and Puducherry will see heavy rain in the next four days as well.

Many celebrities and socialites, including Amitabh Bachchan, Sonakshi Sinha, Amy Jackson, Dulquer Salmaan, AR Rahman, Madhavan, Manobala, Khushbu Sunder, Trisha, Hansika Motwani, Anil Kapoor, Shruti Haasan, Taapsee Pannu, Anand Mahindra and Nitish Kumar, have prayed for everyone's safety through social media.
