The first look poster of the much awaited Dulquer Salmaan-Parvathy Menon movie "Charlie" has been released. The poster, which introduces the character of Dulquer, shows the young star in a never seen before look.

Dulquer is seen in a more rugged look with freshly shaped moustache and beard and the actor's look in the movie is sure to set some new trends. 

The shooting of "Charlie", directed by Martin Prakkat, kick started on 25 May morning in Idukki and sources close to the film have said that the new movie is an experimental one and each actor will be spotted in a new look.

It was earlier reported that "Charlie" will have a new face as the heroine, but makers later settled for Parvathy, who has earlier worked with Dulquer in hit flick "Bangalore Days".

The upcoming movie is touted to be a romantic film and Aparna Gopinath, who had worked with Martin and Dulquer in "ABCD: American Born Confused Desi", will also be seen in a pivotal role.

The story and dialogues will be written by R Unni, who is noted for films like "Munnariyippu", "5 Sundarikal', "Bachelor Party", "Chappa Kurish" and "Kerala Cafe" ("Bridge").

Music will be composed by Gopi Sundar and lyrics will be penned by Rafeeq Ahamed and Santhosh Varma. The cinematography will be handled by Jomon T John and editing is by Mahesh Narayanan.

Besides Dulquer, Parvathy and Aparna Gopinath, "Charlie" has star cast of Chemban Vinod, Nedumudi Veni, Seetha, Joju George, Renjji Panicker, Kalpana, Sinil Suhatha, Shoubin, Tovino Thomas, Neeraj Madhav, Jacob Gregory, Ramesh Pisharady and Kannan Sagar.

"Charlie" will be shot extensively in various locations such as Kochi, Munnar and Gujarat.

The movie will be produced by Shebin Bekkar, Joju George and Martin Prakkat under the banner of Finding Cinema and will be distributed by Play House Release.
