Arsenal cannot seem to catch a break when it comes to the last 16 draw. In a replay of last season's pre-quarterfinal clash, the Gunners were drawn against the seemingly unbeatable Bayern Munich, with the other tasty clash of the draw being Manchester City vs Barcelona.

The Gunners only lost to Bayern on away goals in the last 16 of the previous campaign, winning the second leg at the Allianz Arena 2-0, but Arsene Wenger will be wondering just what he has to do to get a kinder draw in Europe's elite competition - apart from the obvious aspect of finishing top of their group of course, with a second-place finish coming back to haunt them yet again.

Manchester United were handed a relatively kind draw, with the English Premier League champions set to face Olympiakos over two legs for a place in the quarterfinals.

Having negotiated the group stages comfortably enough, David Moyes will be confident his side can see off Olympiakos, who finished second behind Paris Saint-Germain in Group C.

Manchester City, who passed the group stages test at the third time of asking, will have to be at their absolute best to get the better of Barca, even if the Spanish side do not have that unbeatable aura about them anymore.

With the attacking prowess that City have, it is sure to be an entertaining encounter over two leg, with the first set to take place at the Etihad in February.

Chelsea will travel to Galatasaray, the team that beat Juventus for second in Group B, behind Real Madrid, for the first leg and if Jose Mourinho's side can negotiate the cauldron in Istanbul, then the English Premier League side should find it comfortable enough in the second leg at home.

It will also see a reunion between Mourinho and Chelsea legend Didier Drogba, with the Portuguese getting his wish of coming up against one of his favourite players.

Real Madrid, who could have drawn either Arsenal, AC Milan or Manchester City will also be relatively happy with their draw, with Schalke given the unenvious task of trying to stop Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale and co.

An intriguing clash between Milan and Atletico Madrid is also in the offing, with either side capable of coming away with the honours, although on form, the Spanish side do seem to have the upperhand, even if experience is in the Italians' favour.

The first leg of the last 16 ties will be played on 18, 19, 25, 26 February with the second legs on 11, 12, 18, 19 March.
