Here is the box office collection report of Ram Charan's "Yevadu" and Mahesh Babu's "1 Nenokkadine".
Ram Charan's "Yevadu" continues to perform well at the Andhra Pradesh box office. The film, which released on 12 January, took a grand opening on the first day of its release. The action-packed entertainer earned ₹8.65 crore share on the first day, surpassing "1 Nenokkadine" day 1 collections (₹8.4 crore) at the AP box office.
The film gave Ram Charan his best ever opening in his career. It took the fourth spot in the list top 10 day 1 AP shares next to "Attarintiki Daredi", "Baadshah" and "Ramayya Vastavayya".
"Yevadu" has reportedly continued its good performance on the second day as well. The film opened well with morning shows with packed houses in all big centres. However, the second shows seem to have taken a hit in theatres.
"Yevadu" is expected to have earned around ₹4.5 crore share on the second day. Details about the film's exact figures are not yet available.
The Ram Charan-starrer is also performing well in overseas markets. "Yevadu" has fared well in the US with the film raking in ₹1.46 crore (gross) in its opening weekend (Saturday and Sunday), according to film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh.
"Telugu film #Yevadu, which opened on Sat in USA, has fared very well [Sat+Sun]. Opng wknd: $ 237,170 [₹ 1.46 cr]. Some screens yet to report," Taran tweeted. [Note: the AP numbers are in share and the US figures are in gross]
The film is expected to continue its successful run at the box office for another few days and rake in good collections.
Mahesh Babu's "1 Nenokkadine" has earned ₹12.40 crore in its opening weekend at the Andhra Pradesh box office. The film, which collected a decent figure of ₹8.40 crore (share) on the first day, has failed to set the cash registers ringing in Andhra Pradesh.
The film's collections (share) were around ₹2 crore on the second and third day, thus taking the first weekend total to just ₹12.40 crore.
However, "1 Nenokkadine" has embarked on to a fantastic start at the US box office. The film has raked in ₹5.82 crore (gross) in its opening weekend in the US. [Note: the AP numbers are in share and the US figures are in gross]
"Telugu film #1Nenokkadine has embarked on a glorious start in USA. Opening wknd: $946,552 [₹5.82 cr]. Some screens yet to report," tweeted Taran.
