Indo-Canadian adult star Sunny Leone might become one among the bankable actresses of Bollywood with her first Hindi movie "Jism 2", which has rocked the box office on the opening day.
Multi-faceted Director and screenplay writer Mahesh Bhatt's latest offering "Jism 2" beckons a good collection at the box office, with the first day collection reported to be 8.5 core.
Trade Analyst and film critics Taran Adarsh on Saturday took to his twitter handle about the first day collection of "Jism 2". He wrote that the movie on Thursday previews garnered Rs 1 crore and collected Rs 7.5 crore on Friday.
"Jism 2" is a sequel to 2003 Indian erotic thriller film directed by Amit Saxena, which also marked the debut of actor John Abraham.
"Jism 2" grabbed a lot of attention, given that the movie features Leone, a porn star, in the lead role, which promises enough spice to the audience.
Leone plays a porn star in the movie, who is hired by a dashing intelligence officer to become a 'Honey-trap' for a dreaded assassin. In doing so, she not only has to confront her bitter-sweet past, but is also forced to make an impossible choice - one that will put her own life in double jeopardy.
The movie stars Randeep Hooda and Arunoday Singh in pivotal roles, besides Leone. It's written by Bhatt and directed by his daughter Pooja Bhatt, who makes her debut as a director in Bollywood.
"Jism 2" received thumps down from most of the critics but at the end of the day, it is not critics but the box office collections that decides whether a movie is a hit or a flop. Only time will tell if the film becomes a hit or a flop!
