After getting fantastic opening, Suriya-starrer "24" has done well in its second weekend at the Chennai box office, while new release "Ko 2" has managed to get an average opening in the capital city of Tamil Nadu.

According to Behindwoods, "24" has earned Rs. 1.15 crore from 255 shows in its second weekend. The Tamil film had minted Rs. 1.53 crore from 318 shows in its first weekend. The 10-day collection of the film stands at Rs. 3.84 crore in Chennai.

Hollywood movie "Captain America: Civil War" is in the second position at the Chennai box office. The film has collected Rs. 30.90 lakh from 123 shows to take its 10-day total collection to Rs. 1.18 crore.

Bobby Simha's "Ko 2" has earned Rs. 26.77 lakh from 93 shows in its first weekend. The movie has won positive reviews from the critics and the audience. Hence, good word-of-mouth is expected to boost the film's collection in the coming days.

GV Prakash Kumar's "Pencil" has also garnered average opening in Chennai as it has earned Rs. 26.59 lakh from 114 shows. Udhayanidhi Stalin's "Manithan" has collected Rs. 13.58 lakh from 87 shows to take its total tally to Rs. 2.32 crore by the end of its third weekend.

Vijay's "Theri" has raked in Rs. 7.79 lakh from 57 shows in its fifth weekend. The total collection of the flick stands at Rs. 9.92 crore. It has turned out to be the biggest hit of Ilayathalapathy's career in Chennai.

Hollywood movie "The Jungle Book" has collected Rs. 7.44 lakh from 51 shows. The total collection of the movie stands at Rs. 3.10 crore.
