Raghava Lawrence's Sivalinga and Dhanush's Power Paandi aka Pa Paandi performed well in the second weekend at the Chennai box office. But the Tamil flicks are likely to be hit by the massive release of SS Rajamouli's Baahubali 2.

For the second consecutive weekend, Sivalinga remained in the top position at the Chennai box office. It has minted Rs 62.68 lakh from 198 shows to take its 10-day total tally to Rs 2.19 crore. Whereas Power Paandi has earned Rs 53.16 lakh from 180 shows.

The good word-of-mouth has helped Power Paandi to improve its business compared to its first weekend where it collected Rs 40.99 lakh from 168 shows to take its total collection to Rs 1.31 crore.

However, the good run of the two movies is expected to be affected with the release of Baahubali 2 this weekend. The SS Rajamouli's flick is releasing in over 400 screens in Tamil Nadu. It is believed that exhibitors are expected to replace both Raghava Lawrence and Dhanush's films with the multilingual film to cash in on the hype.

Coming to the Chennai box office, Hollywood movie The Fate of the Furious has struck gold in the city. The 10-day collection of the film stands at Rs 1.72 crore. In its second weekend, it has raked in Rs 52.38 lakh from 153 shows.

Another English flick Smurfs: The Lost Village had a decent weekend earning Rs 13.40 lakh from 72 shows. Meanwhile, the business of Arya's Kadamban has witnessed a huge dip. After earning Rs 53.32 lakh from 165 shows in its first weekend, it has just collected Rs 12.17 lakh from 81 shows in its second weekend.
