The domestic and overseas box offices have remained dull in October, despite the release of films like "Besharam", "Boss", "Mickey Virus" and others.

Starting from "Besharam", which was released on 2 October, all the films have bombed at box office.

Recently released "Mickey Virus" starring newcomers Manish Paul and Elli Avram had a dull opening weekend at the US box office and raked in ₹14.83 lakh ($ 24,100) from 48 screens in US.

"Mickey Virus" managed to obtain decent money at Indian box offices, but internationally it had failed to pull the crowd in the first three days of its release.

Looking at the weekend collections, the business of the film during the weekdays will remain below average.

"Multiple aspects have contributed to almost dismal collections of 'Mickey Virus'. One of the major reasons being the lack of significant star power coupled with the awful time of release (Just before Diwali) which has not allowed the film to have any impact," Akshaye Rathi, Exhibitor and Distributor, said, according to News X.

Previous release "Boss" has also seen a significant drop in its business in the international market. The total of the film after second weekend is ₹3.8 crore (from UK, New Zealand and Australia box offices), according to trade analyst Taran Adarsh.

From UK "Boss" has raked in total ₹3.01 crore till second weekend, ₹50.29 lakh from Australia and ₹28.57 lakh from New Zealand.

Expectations are riding high on "Krrish 3" to make a grand opening at box offices on 1 November. The coming month, several big films like "Ram-leela", "Bullet Raja" and others are set to hit screens. All the films are expected to do well in terms of collections and bring back the box office like it had during "Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani" and "Chennai Express".
