"Gentleman" has made decent collection at the Andhra Pradesh and Telangana (AP/T) box office in its second weekend, while "Oka Manasu" failed to do much-expected business in its opening weekend.

"Oka Manasu" garnered lot of public attention for several reasons -- the biggest among them as the movie marked the acting debut of mega princess Niharika Konidela. After seeing its promos and hype, trade analysts predicted that the film would take the mega family fans by storm and top the weekend business chart of AP/T, beating one-week-old film "Gentleman," starring "Eega" star Nani.

As predicted, the Naga Shourya and Niharika Konidela-starrer registered good occupancy in the morning shows, but it received mixed talk from the audience, who were upset with its slow-paced narration. The mixed word of mouth took a toll on its business in the later shows on its opening and also over the weekend.

"Oka Manasu" is estimated to have collected Rs. 2.25 crore at the AP/T box office in the first weekend. The movie is estimated to have earned Rs. 1.43 crore for its distributors. It has failed to beat the records of the debut movies of young mega family heroes Varun Tej and Sai Dharam Tej. Varun's "Mukunda" and Sai's "Pilla Nuvvu Leni Jeevitham" earned Rs. 7.45 crore and Rs. 5.18 crore, respectively, for its distributors in three days.

"Gentleman" collected approximately Rs. 13.60 crore gross at the AP/T box office in its opening week and it earned Rs. 8.43 crore for its distributors in seven days. Trade experts predicted that its dream run would be slowed down by new releases "Oka Manasu" and "Kundanapu Bomma" in its second week. As predicted, the film showed steep decline in its numbers on its second Friday.

But the mixed word of mouth for the new releases made the Nani-starrer become the first choice for many viewers on the following days. "Gentleman" is estimated to have collected Rs. 2.80 crore gross at the AP/T box office in its second weekend, taking its 10-day-gross total to Rs. 15.40 crore. The film has added Rs. 1.78 crore to its total distributors' share - Rs. 10.21 crore.

Here is the estimate area-wise share of "Gentleman" (10 days) and "Oka Manasu" (3 days). They may not match with the actual figures released by their makers.
