Meanwhile, Dhanush's latest flick "Anegan" had a dream run in theatres and had reportedly collected ₹6.55 Crore on its first day in India. Ajith's "Yennai Aindhaal" also received an overwhelming response in theatres as the movie grossed ₹14.05 crore on the first day in India alone.

When it comes to "Kakki Sattai", Sivakarthikeyan had the biggest opening of his career with the movie grossing ₹ 4.62 Crore in Tamil Nadu alone on its first day.
