Check out the box office collection report of Tamil films "Biriyani" and "Endrendrum Punnagai" as well as the dubbed version of "Dhoom 3"

"Biriyani"

"Biriyani" took a very good opening upon its release in Tamil Nadu. The film is estimated to have earned around ₹6 crore in its opening weekend, according to Behindwoods. Despite facing strong competition from Aamir Khan's "Dhoom 3" and "Endrendrum Punnagai", "Biriyani" managed to rake in decent collections in its first week in Tamil Nadu.

Given that the film is performing decently, it is on the safe side. Karthi, who was gave back-to-back flops this year, can now heave a sigh of relief with "Biriyani" turning out to be a decent hit.

The black comedy thriller has performed better than "Endrendrum Punnagai" in international markets. The film grossed over ₹55 lakh in UK, Ireland box office, whereas it earned ₹22.34 lakh at the end of the second weekend in Australian box office, according to film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh.

The Telugu dubbed version of "Biriyani", which released simultaneously with the Tamil version, has failed to impress the audience.

"Endrendrum Punnagai"

Jiiva-Vinay-Santhanam's "Endrendrum Punnagai" is slowly turning out to be a sleeper hit in Tamil Nadu.

The comedy entertianer took a good opening upon its release on 20 December. The film is estimated to have grossed around ₹3.25 crore in its opening weekend, according to Behindwoods.

Positive word of mouth has helped the film fetch good collections at the box office. With the film getting good feedback, its number of screens has been increased. The Jiiva starrer has posted a decent total at the end of the second weekend, but details about the film's collections are yet to be available.

At the Chennai box office, "Endrendrum Punngai" has overtaken "Biriyani" and has taken the top spot.

However, the film still lags behind Karthi's film at the international box office. The Jiiva starrer grossed ₹31.26 lakh at UK, Ireland box office and ₹16.99 lakh at Australian box office.

Dhoom 3

Aamir Khan's "Dhoom 3" is doing fantastic business in India as well as international markets. Not just the Hindi version, but the Tamil and Telugu versions of the film have also raked in good collections.

According to Taran Adarsh, the Telugu and Tamil version of "Dhoom 3" has earned ₹11.17 crore at the end of the second weekend.
