Bollywood actor Salman Khan has agreed to host the seventh season of television reality show "Bigg Boss" for a whopping fee of ₹5 crore per episode.

According to reports, the "Dabangg" star had earned ₹2.5 for the previous season of the show. The makers have now decided to double the actor's fee, making him the highest paid Bollywood actor on television.

Salman will reportedly take away a huge amount of ₹130 crore as his salary as the actor will appear for 26 episodes of the show.

He has finished shooting for the promos of the reality show, in which he will play a double role of an angel and devil.

If the promos succeed in fetching good response, Salman's double role will reportedly be incorporated into the show as well. "The concept of showing Salman in a double role is quite appealing. This will be his fourth season as the host and we have to attempt something new and unique," a source told Times of India.

"Bigg Boss 7" will go on air in September instead of October. While the promos have been shot, no decision about the inmates has been made. Rumour has it that a cricketer might be one of the house mates.

Salman will shoot for two episodes a day since he will due for a court hearing in connection with the 2002 hit-and-run case, for which he has been booked under culpable homicide charges.

Earlier, it was rumoured that Salman may be replaced as host by arch rival Shah Rukh Khan.

But a close source to Salman brushed off the rumours saying, "Shahrukh was never considered for Bigg Boss. It is only Salman who could get the show amazing TRPs. Salman is also happy with the production team and has signed to do the next season," reported Bollywoodlife.com.
