Bigg Boss 11 has turned out to be quite entertaining. The high-voltage drama and gossips taking place every other day have been keeping the viewers hooked to the show.

In fact, the show has been making it to the top Television Rating Points (TRP) charts since the beginning of the show.

And now, the buzz is that the makers of Bigg Boss 11 plan to take full advantage of this and extend the season by two weeks. The eleventh season, which was supposed to end in mid-January, is now likely to wrap up by the month end.

"It has been a very successful season of Bigg Boss this year. The numbers have been good and even the people who never followed the show in the previous seasons are talking about the current edition. Therefore they have decided to give Bigg Boss 11 an extension of two weeks in order to take full advantage," a source told Bollywood Life.

It has been more than two months since the show went on air and only one wild card contestant – Dhinchak Pooja – has entered the house. In addition to this, none of the housemates has been sent to the secret room, unlike every year. Hence, extending the season makes complete sense as a lot is yet to be covered.

Apparently, it now depends on host Salman Khan and his availability of dates. It should be reminded to the readers that the eighth season of Bigg Boss had also seen a month-long extension. The extended part was titled Bigg Boss Halla Bol and was hosted by Farah Khan since Salman had already given his dates to Kabir Khan's Bajrangi Bhaijaan.
