Big Bash League 2017/18; Full schedule and how to watch BBL matches in India on TV, online

The seventh season of Australia's Big Bash League (BBL) will start on Tuesday, December 19, with the Sydney derby -- Thunder vs Sixers -- at the Spotless Stadium.

A total of 43 matches will be played and the final is scheduled for Sunday, February 4. (For live streaming and TV channel info, scroll down)

Three-time champions and holders Perth Scorchers at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) against Sixers on Saturday, December 23.

Most of the Australian national team players, including captain Steve Smith and David Warner, are unlikely to take part in the tournament because on the ongoing Ashes and the subsequent five-match ODI series, starting January 14.

Melbourne Stars' Kevin Pietersen, who has hinted BBL 7 might be his last international outing, is set to grab the limelight in the coming weeks.

Afghanistan spin prodigy Rashid Khan, who is among the most lethal T20 bowlers, will also make his BBL debut for Adelaide Strikers. Pakistan leg-spinner Shadab Khan will also be in the action as he was signed by Brisbane Heat.

The likes of Brendon McCullum, Chris Lynn, Sunil Narine, Shane Watson, Glenn Maxwell, Jason Roy, Colin Munro, Mitchell Johnson and Moises Henriques will be looking to shine Down Under as it gives them a chance to impress Indian Premier League (IPL) franchises ahead of the big auction slated for early 2018.
