"The Big Bang Theory" season 9 episode 10 will not be aired this Thursday, 3 December, as well. CBS aired Episode 9, titled "The Platonic Permutation", on 19 November and is expected to return with "The Earworm Reverberation" on 10 December, after a two-week-long break.

Last time, in episode 9, we saw Sheldon and Amy going back to being friends again. The two went on a friendly date at the aquarium to spend Thanksgiving together, but Amy confessed that she wanted to give their relationship another shot. However, Sheldon turns down the offer by saying that he doesn't want to get hurt again.

And now, in episode 10, a song by the Beach Boys will make Sheldon reconsider his decision. He realises that he misses Amy and wants to get back with her.

The promo of the episode teases how Sheldon will be seen regretting his decision of turning down Amy's offer and will come to realise how much he cares for her. He will head to Amy's and will end up telling her that she is like an "earworm in his heart".

The developments in this episode will reportedly lead to events in episode 11, which is when Sheldon and Amy are finally expected to get intimate and have sex. In fact, even the showrunners hinted that this would be the right time for Sheldon and Amy to finally consummate their relationship.

"Their relationship floundered this season. It helped spur them to move forward and pursue their relationship more aggressively, having realized that you don't know what you've got until it's gone, as the song goes. That happened for Sheldon - missing Amy was wearing on him in a way he hadn't anticipated," series co-creator Chuck Lorre told The Hollywood Reporter.

Well now, only the episode 10 will reveal whether Sheldon-Amy end up having sex as friends or as lovers.

"The Big Bang Theory" is expected to return with episode 10, titled "The Earworm Reverberation", on 10 December. For more information on the upcoming episode and live streaming details, don't forget to check back here.
