"Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" has a long way to go before it hits theatres in 2016. But thanks to a new leaked photo and video, after a long hiatus, fans have finally got some update on costumes of Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman.

While we all know that the superhero costumes have been on display at various conventions and now at New York Comic-Con, a brand new leaked photo from the set of Warner Bros. Pictures' DC Extended Universe film shows Ben Affleck as a full caped crusader.

The image revealing the Dark Knight in his fully-modified armour and flowing cape has now gone viral online. It is apparently taken by Clay Enos, who is actually the film's still photographer, reported Christian Post.

The picture captioned: "You asked for it...," is in grayscale and shows Affleck looking at someone fiercely, with clenched fists. The photo also features the latest model of the Batmobile.

The report also pointed out that this is not the first time that Enos has leaked an image giving fans a sneak-peek into the movie's plot, cast and costume. The photographer has apparently posted photos of the Batman wearing goggles on top of his mask and also those, which shows Affleck's character beside the Bat-Signal Klieg searchlight, in the past. In fact, he is the one who also first gave us a preview of Henry Cavill as Superman, and Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor.

Meanwhile, the DC Entertainment YouTube Channel has posted a video that reveals costumes and concept arts of the superheros in the film, and has costume designer Michael Wilkinson talking about how he came up with the new costume designs.

Talking about Superman's costume in "Batman v Super: Dawn of Justice," Wilkinson teased that there are pieces of Kryptonian script hidden in the design of the suit. "Zack Snyder gave me this fantastic quote that he wanted us to translate into Krypton, and incorporate into the script," the designer explained.

But for Batman, Zack wanted to create a totally different look from the previous versions and wanted him to be a "hulking, big guy...bigger than Superman....super pumped up," said Wilkinson.

And finally, for Wonder Woman, the director wanted a look that exuded "power and strength." "Her presence as a warrior is completely legitimate and unquestionable... The character is also expected to show grace and elegance through her costumes," explained Wilkinson.

"Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" will be released on 23 March, 2016.
