Salman Khan's 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan' Beats Aamir Khan's 'Dhoom 3' to become 2nd Highest GrosserFacebook

Salman Khan-Kareena Kapoor starrer "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" has dethroned Aamir Khan-Katrina Kaif's "Dhoom 3" to become the second highest Bollywood grosser of all time.

Adding its third Sunday's earnings, "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" has taken its 17 days box office collection to more than Rs 292.23 crore, which is higher than the lifetime income of "Dhoom 3" in India.

"Bajrangi Bhaijaan" had a decent third week at the domestic box office. The film's business declined on third Friday, but on third Saturday the business went up by over 60% and on Sunday it further shot up by 33%.

Overall, the third weekend box office collection of "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" is Rs 19.98 crore, while the 17-days net income stands at Rs 292.23 crore.

"#BajrangiBhaijaan continues its VICTORY march. Is UNSTOPPABLE [Week 3] Fri 4.11 cr, Sat 6.80 cr, Sun 9.07 cr. Total: ₹ 292.23 cr. ATBB," trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted 17-day box office figures of "Bajrangi Bhaijaan".

"#BajrangiBhaijaan crosses #Dhoom3. Emerges 2nd HIGHEST grosser [after #PK]. Heading towards ₹ 300 cr... Hindi films. India biz," he added.

Now, "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" is the second highest Bollywood grosser with Aamir's "PK" at the top spot.

"Bajrangi Bhaijaan" directed by Kabir Khan was released on 17 July worldwide. The film is a family entertainer, which is one of the main reasons that the film witnessed such massive box office success

The film, based on Indo-Pak theme, had an extraordinarily good two-week theatrical run in India as it was a solo release. However, the collections dropped slightly in its third week.

The film has taken its 17-day net box office collection to more than Rs 292.23 crore and it is now looking for Rs 300 crore club. "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" will be Salman, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Kabir Khan's first film to enter the triple century club in India.
