Bajaj Auto has added two new colour options to its Avenger Street range of cruiser motorcycles. The Avenger Street 150, currently sold only in Midnight Blue shade, gets Cosmic Red, while the Avenger Street 220, which was sold only in Matte Black, is now available in Matte Wild Green.
Bajaj Auto has priced the Avenger Street 220 Matte Wild Green at Rs. 85,497, while the Avenger Street 150 Cosmic Red is retailed at Rs. 75,500, ex-showroom, Delhi. The company launched the new range of Avenger cruiser motorcycles -- Avenger Street 150, Avenger Street 220 and Avenger Cruise 220 -- in October last year. Each motorcycle was debuted with just one colour scheme. The Pune based two-wheeler manufacturer added Desert Gold color to the Avenger Cruise 220 in May this year, which was available only in Black previously.
Technical specifications of the entire Avenger range continues without changes. The Avenger Street 220 and Avenger Cruise 220 are powered by a 220cc single-cylinder four-stroke air-cooled engine that can churn out 19bhp at 8,400rpm and 17.5Nm of torque at 7,000rpm mated to a five-speed gearbox. The Avengers Street 150 get 150cc engine that is tuned to generate 13bhp and a peak torque of 12.5Nm.
The revamped Avenger range is one of the success stories of Bajaj Auto. The company used to sell close to 3,400 units of the Avenger monthly when it was just a single model prior to October 2015. The sales saw huge surge to 12,500 units a month in the first quarter of this financial year according to The Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers.
