Director SS Rajamouli has failed to provide clarity on the role played actress Tamannaah Bhatia in Bahubali 2 (Baahubali: The Conclusion). She does not have any dialogue in the movie.

Tamannaah Bhatia had played Avantika in Baahubali: The Beginning, the first part in the Baahubali franchise. Avanthika is a rebellious warrior and she is part of a group, which indulged in guerrilla warfare against emperor Bhallala Deva (Rana Daggubati) of Mahishmati Kingdom. The movie had a good scope for performance and in fact, her screen presence was larger than Anushka Shetty.

Baahubali 2 has all the focus on Baahubali, Bhallaladeva, Devasena and Katappa and Avantika has no place there. The film-goers especially Tamannah's fans expected that SS Rajamouli would answer some questions. Who are these guerrilla warriors? Why did Avantika join their group. What was her connection with Devasena?

But director SS Rajamouli has not answered any of them. Instead, he had a happy ending for Baahubali 2 with the marriage of Baahubali and Avantika. Tamannaah Bhatia's screen presence has been reduced to nil and there are hardly a few camera angles focused on her. She is seen here and there in the climax and scenes of her marriage also last for a few seconds. More shockingly, she does not have any dialogue.

Baahubali makers have teamed up with several brands and given ample time for them, which is more than that of Avantika. Now, the fans of Tamannaah have expressed disappointment on social media. However, it was rumoured that Rajamouli was upset with the actress for some reasons. Hence, he chopped off her scenes from the movie. Miffed, the actress was not seen in many promotional activities.

Tamannaah had earlier said that she played a crucial part in the climax of Baahubali 2. "I am primarily the climax of the film. So yes, you will see a lot of me in the climax. Last time, I wasn't required in the climax but this time, the war will have a lot of me. And I can't reveal more than this, but I am the reason why the climax takes place," DNA quoted the actress as saying.
