SS Rajamouli's "Baahubali - the Beginning" (Bahubali) has already set several brand new records and the latest one to enter the list of records is the 50-day run in 600+ theatres in the global market.

"Baahubali - the Beginning" was simultaneously made in Telugu and Tamil and dubbed in Hindi and Malayalam. All the four versions released in 4,200+ screens across the globe together on the same day – 10 July. All of them received very good response and continued strong run.

The Telugu version of "Baahubali - the Beginning" has completed 50 days in around 300+ screens in Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and other parts of the globe. It is the highest number for a Telugu film, say the experts from the Telugu film industry.

The Hindi version of "Baahubali - the Beginning" has completed 50 days in around 200+ cinema halls in the domestic market. Its Tamil version has run for 50 days in 75 theatres, while its Malayalam version did it in 45 screens in Kerala. The four versions together had a successful run in 620 screens, reports Andhra Box Office.

A couple of decades ago, the success of a film was determined by the number of the days (50, 100, 175 days) it runs. But this trend fast changed with increase in the number of film production and introduction of multiplexes. Now, the success is calculated based on the collection, ranging from Rs 50 crore or Rs 100 crore.

Although the trend changed, some filmmakers have still inclined to follow the number of days. They make their movies run for 50 days even though they are not doing well at ticket counters and cause losses to them as well as its distributors. But this was not the case with "Baahubali - the Beginning"

The makers of "Baahubali - the Beginning" withdrawn it from those theatres wherever it was not doing well and made way for movies like "Bajrangi Bhaijaan", "Srimanthudu", "Brothers", "Kick 2" and some other budget movies. Despite clashing with these new releases, the movie has had a successful run in a large number of cinema halls.

Starring Prabhas and Rana Daggubati in the leads, "Baahubali - the Beginning" has grossed approximately Rs 595 crore from its four versions together at the worldwide box office in 50 days. Having become the third all-time highest grosser Indian film, the movie is still doing well in theatres around the world. The film is expected to gross Rs 600 crore in its life time.
