SS Rajamouli's "Baahubali - the Beginning" (Bahubali) has grossed approximately Rs 130 crore at the worldwide box office in its second week, taking its 14-day global collection to Rs 385 crore gross.

Released on 10 July, "Baahubali - the Beginning" collected Rs 255 crore from 4,200 screens at the global box office in its first week.

In its second week, the movie lost out some amount of cinema halls to two new releases – Salman Khan's "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" (Hindi) and Dhanush's "Maari".

Many trade experts had predicted that both these big-ticket releases would become the first choice for the Hindi and Tamil audience respectively, and slow down the collection of both Hindi and Tamil versions of "Baahubali - the Beginning".

The Prabhas-Rana Daggubati starrer did witness a drop of around 40%, but the decline was due to the reduced screen count of "Baahubali - the Beginning". Its collection was least affected by the two new releases as it ran to packed houses at many centres in Tamil Nadu and North India.

The Hindi version of "Baahubali - the Beginning" collected Rs 46.77 crore nett at the Indian box office in the first week. Despite clashing with "Bajrangi Bhaijaan", the movie has collected Rs 26.37 crore nett at the domestic market in the second week, taking its 14 day total to Rs 73.14 crore nett. This is the highest record for a movie dubbed in Hindi.

Here is the breakup of the second week collection.

The Tamil version of "Baahubali - the Beginning" had grossed Rs 26 crore (Rs 16 crore nett) at the Tamil Nadu box office in the first week. Despite clashing with "Maari", the movie raked in about Rs 16 crore (Rs 10.5 crore nett). Its 14-day collection stands at Rs 42 crore gross (Rs 27 crore nett).

Since there was no big ticket Telugu release, the Telugu version of "Baahubali - the Beginning" dominated the box office, running to packed houses at almost all centres across the globe in the second week. Its Malayalam version also fared well at ticket counters in Kerala.

"Baahubali - the Beginning" has collected approximately Rs 275+ crore nett at the worldwide box office in 14 days.

The distributors of the film recovered their costs in the first week itself and have earned a profit share of over Rs 100 crore in the second week.
