SS Rajamouli's "Baahubali - the Beginning" (Bahubali) has collected ₹416 crore gross at the worldwide box office in 16 days and it is set to beat the life-time business record of "Chennai Express" on Sunday.

"Baahubali – the Beginning" lost some amount of cinema halls to new Telugu, Tamil, Hindi and Malayalam releases, but it is running undeterred by them. In its third week, the film has maintained rock-steady and continued to keep the cash registering ringing at the ticket counters.

All the four versions of "Baahubali – the Beginning" like Telugu, Tamil, Hindi and Malayalam have received very good response across the globe on its third Friday and Saturday. The film has registered 100% occupancy in many cinema halls in both India and international markets.

The Prabhas-Rana Daggubati starrer has grossed approximately ₹10 crore on in its third Friday and another ₹13 crore on Saturday. "Baahubali – the Beginning" has collected approximately ₹416 crore gross at the worldwide box-office in 16 days. It has become the fourth highest grosser Indian film. Bollywood movies "PK", "Dhoom 3" and "Chennai Express" are in the first, second and third places in the list of the all-time highest grosser Indian film with their collections at ₹740 crore, ₹542 crore and ₹423 crore respectively. "Baahubali – the Beginning" will land in third place, pushing down "Chennai Express" to fourth spot on Sunday.

However, the makers of "Baahubali – the Beginning" kept the interest of viewers alive through their unique promotional strategies for two-and-a-half years. The hype created by them helped the film get a record-breaking opening.

The rocking run of "Baahubali – the Beginning" is not going to slow down for the next 12 days as there are no big-ticket releases in the coming week. Mahesh Babu's "Srimanthudu", which is set to hit the screens on 7 August, is likely to slow down the pace of the epic drama at the ticket counters, especially in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
