A new patch for the Sony PlayStation 4 version of Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag has been released to add a 1080p native support to the game. The new Ubisoft title update also includes several fixes on visuals and graphics of the game.

The news came from the Assassin's Creed 4 fans from NeoGAF and Ubisoft forums, who reported that the update included the 1080p resolution support for the action-packed open-world game title.

Apart from Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag, developed in Ubisoft Montreal studio, other games also needed the patch to run in 1080p. Popular franchise game title, Call of Duty: Ghosts is one of the listed titles for the update, reports Examiner. The multiplayer online mode runs on 1080p, the update was needed for the title's single-player campaign.

While the next-gen console version gets the 1080p resolution patch, it has been understood that the three version of the title are now available for the PC system: the Standard Edition, the Gold Edition and the Uplay Gold Edition.

The Standard version of the title is said to include only the game, while the other two versions offer player's access to Season Pass and a number of DLCs. While this was for the PS4 edition, Xbox One edition only includes the Standard and Limited versions. The title's Limited version is said to offer more number of in-game treasures and other goodies such as an art book, steel case, game's soundtrack, 18in Cpt. Edward Kenway statue and an Assassin's Pirate Flag.

McFarlane Toys has additionally revealed its plans to launch a 1000-piece set of Edward Kenway statues, a single piece of which would set back a customer by $295, reports Joystiq.
