If you ever thought that whistleblowers and activist journalists, like US fugitive Edward Snowden and WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange, are some of the people you could 'idolize', here is an opportunity.
Thatsmyface.com, a website that offers free online facial reconstruction and analysis and transformation of 2D portraiture into 3D sculptures, has created what they call as 'action figures' of the two celebrities. The 12-inch (30cm) tall toys of the famous activists has life-like faces of them attached to small manikins.
"Introducing the Edward Snowden action figure," the website touted, showcasing a picture of the diminutive toy of the NSA leaker. "Edward Snowden's lifelike head mounted on a 12-inch fully-articulated action figure body with detailed pre-fitted cloths".
The company also created a similar action figure for Assange and claims that each figure is made to order. All of the proceeds from the Snowden action figure will be donated to the Freedom of the Press Foundation, which Snowden is part of. Meanwhile, the proceeds from the Assange action figure will be donated to WikiLeaks, the website said.
The package of $99 will include the 12-inch action figure, with several choices of outfits. Meanwhile, if the customers select 'Head Only' in the selection box given in the website, they could buy just Snowden's or Assange's head for $60.
