The wait for Samsung Galaxy S4's next version is coming to an end as more number of revelations has been made online. It has been noted that the Korean tech firm's much awaited Samsung Galaxy S5 handset may finally go into mass production in January 2014.
The firm is said to start producing around 800,000 to 1 million units starting January and will ramp-up to 6 million by February, reports Sam Mobile.
It has also been reported that the handset will be launched in March-April 2014, which clears the earlier rumours of the handset being released during Consumer Electronic Show (CES) 2014 in January or in Mobile World Congress (MWC) which will be held in Barcelona from 24-27 February 2014.
However, one can expect a Galaxy S5 prototype to be available during these events.
It has been also revealed that the handset might arrive in two versions, which is expected as the current Galaxy S4 also comes in different versions such as S4 Active, S4 Zoom and others.
The two proposed variants of Galaxy S5 include a Premium and a Normal model. The Premium variant sports a metal case along with a flexible OLED screen and the Normal variant sports a normal plastic chassis along with the usual OLED screen.

Samsung Galaxy Gear 2 to Launch with Galaxy S5
Samsung recently revealed its first smartwatch, Samsung Galaxy Gear alongside the flagship Galaxy Note 3. The brand is now reportedly gearing up to launch its second-generation Galaxy Gear parallel with the much popular, Galaxy S5.
The new Samsung Galaxy Gear 2 is likely to be 15 to 20 percent thinner than its predecessor, which was one of the disappointing features earlier.
Since the Samsung Galaxy S5 handset is rumoured to arrive around March-April 2014 like the Galaxy S4 this year, the smartwatch would be released on the same date or somewhere close to it.
The Korean tech giant is already said to have shipped a total of 800,000 Galaxy Gears worldwide in two months with 50,000 sold in South Korea alone.
The firm has also dispatched an update for the existing Galaxy Gear devices that helps it recieve additional number of notifications, which the smartwatch lacked before.
Its launch with the Galaxy S5 also indicates that the smartwatch will be compatible with the handset.
