Junior NTR starrer "Baadshah" is rocking the overseas box office. The action-packed drama, which was released on 5 April, has collected ₹5.90 crore from the US box office within five days of its release.

The film is the second one that features Jr NTR and Kajal Aggarwal in the lead roles after "Brindavanam".

The film was released across 110 screens in the US box office and it became the biggest opener for the actor overseas.

According to trade analyst and film critic Taran Adarsh, it collected ₹5.90 crore in five days of its release. "#Baadshah [Telugu] *USA* Mon $ 19,517, Tue $ 17,827 [67 locations]. Total: $ 1,082,536 [₹5.90 crores]. Rocking!" he tweeted.

The film also received overwhelming response in India and is running to packed houses. Its box office success has paved the way for it to release in Tamil cinema.

According to reports, the film is set to remake in Tamil whose rights have been acquired by Prasad V Potluri of PVP Cinema.  

"PVP Cinema has bought the Tamil remake rights of 'Baadshah', which is likely to be remade with a top actor. We don't know the name of the actor yet, but it is very likely to be made with a prominent face in Tamil," a spokesperson for "Baadshah" told IANS.      

Apart from the lead characters, the film also features Kelly Dorji, Ashish Vidyarthi, Navdeep, MS Narayana, Brahmanadam, Tanikella Bharani, Ritu Varma, Siddharth Suryanarayan, Nassar, Vennela Kishore, Tagubothu Ramesh, Mukesh Rishi, Ajay and Chandra Mohan.
