Superstar Rajinikanth and universal star Kamal Haasan are the two biggest screen idols of the Tamil film industry.

In the early stages of their career, both actors acted in many films together. But later, they began doing different movies and eventually became two of the most popular actors of Indian cinema. Their fans have been eagerly waiting to see their idols together on screen.

If certain reports are to be believed, India's greatest stars could once again be seen together, but off the screens. Speculations are rife that both Rajini and Kamal would be attending the 100th day function of Tamil film "Kumki", starring thespian Sivaji Ganesan's grandson Vikram Prabhu.

Shivaji Ganesan and Vikram's father Prabhu have shared a close rapport with both Kamal and Rajini. They attended the audio launch of "Kumki" a few months ago and gave their blessings to Vikram.

"Kumki" which was released on 14 December, 2012, in about 300 screens was declared a hit. The film is about an emotional bond shared between an elephant and his mahout. The film's wonderful locations and music left audiences spellbound.

With the movie rapidly reaching its 100th day, the producers of the film have decided to invite both Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan to join the "Kumki" team in their success bash. The film's producer Lingusamy has already invited Kamal Hassan and received his acceptance, according to The Times of India.

It is believed that Rajini has also accepted the invitation to attend the function. Fans of the legendary actors will be in for a treat to see both the greats sharing the same dais once again.

Vikram Prabhu is currently busy with "Ivan Veramadhiri" starring Lakshmi Menon ("Kumki's" female lead).
