Earlier, there were reports that the film collected ₹120 crore in just four days of its release. Kamal later clarified saying that the movie met with huge success but did not earn the said amount.
"Vishwaroopam is a huge box office hit, but I do not think she has crossed the ₹100 crore in theatrical collections this early stage, it may do so later but not now," Chennai Online quoted Haasan as saying.
Meanwhile, the film is holding a very strong position in home state Tamil Nadu, where it was banned for two weeks. But the business of the film has gone down at box offices in North India and overseas.
Apart from Kamal, the film also features Rahul Bose, Pooja Kumar, Andrea Jeremiah and Jaideep Ahlawat in important roles.
