It's been more than a month since HTC rolled out the Android Marshmallow update to One M8 in the USA. Now the company has deployed the OS update to the device in Asia.

The firmware's build number (6.14.707.1) is different compared to the one released in America, reported Android Authority. It is believed that the company has made some changes and incorporated bug-fixes for the Asian models.

How to check for OTA update on Android phone:

Go to Settings >> About Phone >> System updates >> check

Since the OTA update is being carried out in a phased manner, it may take some time to reach all the corners. Hence, HTC One M8 owners in India can expect update notification in a matter of a few weeks.

The new Android Marshmallow for HTC One M8 is 1.14GB in size and brings the much needed Doze power saving feature. Google has claimed that this feature will extend battery life by at least 30% depending on the device's internal hardware.
