Amy Jackson seems to have bagged an opportunity of a lifetime. The British actress has bagged Rajinikanth's forthcoming movie "Endhiran 2".

The buzz says that Amy Jackson has reportedly stepped into the shoes of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in "Endhiran 2". In the first instalment, the Bachchan bahu had played the female lead role. The reason for the replacement is unknown.

The first hint of Amy Jackson bagging the project came after the actress' pictures with her body mould were out on the internet. This has been taken as a confirmation by the media, even though the makers have not formally announced the project yet.

The British-born actress is currently in Los Angeles where special costumes for her role are being designed.

Amy Jackson had earlier worked in Shankar's movie "I" starring Vikram and their good working relationship is one of the reasons why the director signed her again. Deepika Padukone and many other big names from the B-town were also considered for the role. In the end, Shankar seems to have opted for the "Madrasapattinam" girl.

Apart from Rajinikanth and Amy Jackson, Hollywood actor Arnold Schwarzenegger is likely to be a part of "Endhiran 2". However, it is not sure whether he will appear in a cameo or in a full-fledged role. Some reports claim that he will play a lead role along with Rajinikanth.

It was earlier speculated that Vikram would be playing the role of the antagonist. On the other hand, Shankar has remained tight-lipped about the project and is yet to open up on the project. "Endhiran 2" will take off in 2016 and will be made using motion-capture technology with lots of special effects.

Meanwhile, Rajinikanth is busy with his next movie "Kabali" directed by Pa Ranjith. This film will be released for Pongal 2016.
