Amanda Knox, who once again hit headlines late last month when an Italian court convicted her of murdering Meredith Kercher, has been offered a role in California’s adult film industry.
Monarchy Distribution wants Knox to do an adult movie and they are ready to pay her $20,000, which could be used for her legal battle.
“As you may have read, and were most likely well aware of, the general consensus is, you are absolutely smoking hot,” company founder Michael Kulich wrotes in an e-mail to Knox, which was forwarded to the Daily Dot. “Since you came back into the headlines, our loyal fan base has been e-mailing us non-stop asking about you.”
The email also assured Knox that she would have the final say when it comes to the terms of production, meaning she could decide what sex acts to perform.
“This is a great opportunity for you to make some money to put towards finishing your education and also future legal costs to help with this unfortunate retrial,” Kulich wrote.
Knox is yet to respond to the offer, but this is not the first time Kulich is trying to lure a celebrity to do porn. His other targets included Valentina Lukyanova, known as real-life Barbie doll, and Justine Sacco, a public relations executive who came under fire for posting racial remarks on Twitter before heading to Africa.
"Going to Africa. Hope I don’t get AIDS. Just kidding. I’m white!" Sacco wrote on her Twitter account on Dec. 22.
Meanwhile, the adult film industry's attraction towards Knox has been going for a few years now.
In 2011, Vivid Entertainment made a similar offer to Knox after she won the appeal of her initial guilty verdict in the murder case, Daily Mail reported.
“We would like to offer her the opportunity to be our vivid.com spokesperson and represent the studio at trade and retail events,” Vivid Entertainment said in its publicised offer. “This would involve no nudity or sex. Of course we would welcome talking to her if she wants to pursue this direction, but the decision is totally hers to express," the company said, according to Daily Mail.
