Akkineni Nageswara Rao's (ANR) last film "Manam" is all set to hit the screens on 31 March.
"Manam", a family entertainer, will bring together three generations of the Akkineni family including ANR, his son Nagarjuna and grandson Naga Chaitanya.
Directed by Vikram Kumar, "Manam" has Shriya Saran and Samantha in the female lead roles.
ANR, who passed away this month after suffering from intestinal cancer, has completed shooting his portions for "Manam", except for one unfinished song. The veteran actor lent his own voice for his role even though he was under medication.
Apparently, ANR did not want any other dubbing artist to dub for his character and wanted to do it for himself. The dubbing equipment was brought to his house and he completed the dubbing process.
"Manam" post production work is under progress and the film is confirmed to release on 31 March. Nagarjuna wants the film to be a suitable send-off for his father. "I want his last film Manam to be a befitting send-off to a man who was much more than just a father to me," Nagarjuna posted a message on his official Facebook fan page.
Besides the aforementioned actors, "Manam" boasts of an ensemble cast including Brahmanandam, Tanikella Bharani, Ali, MS Narayana, Jaya Prakash Reddy, Posani Krishna Murali, Vennela Kishore and Ravi Babu in supporting roles.
"Manam", reportedly made on a budget of over ₹40 crore, is produced by Nagarjuna under Annapurna Studios. The film's music is composed by Anoop Rubens, whereas cinematography is handled by PS Vinod.
The film might clash with actor Balakrishna's "Legend" which is expected to hit the screens in the last of week of March or in the first week of April.
