The business of "Akhil: The Power of Jua", which opened to a superb response, has been affected by Salman Khan's "Prem Ratan Dhan Payo" (PRDP) at the box office on the second day.

Released in 1,100 theatres on 11 November, "Akhil: The Power Of Jua" packed a solid punch on its opening day. Having recorded 90% occupancy, the movie grossed Rs 10.10 crore in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana (AP/T), Rs 5.50 crore in Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and the rest of India, and Rs 86 lakh overseas, totalling Rs 16.46 crore.

"Akhil: The Power of Jua" received mixed responses by viewers. VV Vinayak's poor scripting and execution failed to impress them. Fortunately, Akhil's amazing performance compensates for all the negative factors; his dance and action thrill viewers.

Trade experts had predicted that word of mouth would take a toll on its business on Thursday, apart from the impact from "Prema Leela", the Telugu version of "Prem Ratan Dhan Payo". As predicted, the film had a steep decline. Andhra Box Office tweeted, "#AkhilThePowerOfJua Drops Considerably On 2nd day. A worrying trend for the Distributors. #Akhil".

As per early estimates, the Akhil Akkineni and Sayesh Sehgal starrer witnessed a drop of around 65% in collection on Thursday, when compared to its opening day. "Akhil: The Power of Jua" has grossed approximately Rs 4 crore at the AP/T box office on the second day. The film has fetched around Rs 2.50 crore to the distributors of these areas.

"Akhil: The Power of Jua" is estimated to have grossed approximately Rs 3 crore in other parts of the globe on its second day. The movie has collected approximately Rs 23.46 crore at the worldwide box office in two days. The movie is estimated to have fetched Rs 14 crore to its distributors.
