Ajith and Siruthai Siva's untitled movie, which is presently called "Thala 56", will reportedly be delayed. The shooting for the Tamil movie was supposed to commence in February 2015.

As per the latest buzz, Ajith has decided to take a break to be with his family. Hence, the shooting of "Thala 56" will be delayed. It is reported that the actor wants spend more time with his wife Shalini, who is pregnant with their second child.

Ajith is expected to be with his family for a few months and is likely to join the shooting only in summer. Earlier, there were reports that claimed that the movie would be launched on 5 February.

Meanwhile, the hunt for the female lead has begun and many top names are being considered. There are reports of Samantha being approached. She is likely to bag "Thala 56". It may be recalled that Hansika Motwani's name too was doing the rounds for the same role. The makers will formally announce on the film's female lead.

The upcoming movie is directed by Siruthai Siva. Ajith and Siva had earlier worked together in "Veeram". The film is bankrolled by AM Rathnam, who produced the actor's "Arrambam" and the forthcoming "Yennai Arindhaal".

Meanwhile, Ajith, who has been working round the clock for "Yennai Arindhaal", is gearing up for its release. The Tamil movie will be released worldwide on 29 January. The Gautham Menon film was supposed to be released for Pongal, but was delayed following a delay in the completion of post-production works.
