Kalaippuli S Thanu, who is basking in the success of Ilayathalapathy Vijay's "Theri" and producing Rajinikanth's "Kabali," has spoken about Ajith Kumar and said that he likes Thala a lot.
In an interview with DNA, he said, "Ajith is a good actor and human being." The producer has also clarified that he is not collaborating with the actor in the near future and the right time is yet to come.
When asked about his proximity to Vijay, with whom he has worked in three movies, Kalaippuli S Thanu says that he is vey sincere as a producer and hence, Ilayathalapathy likes him a lot. The "Theri" producer claims that he handles and publicises his movies well and pays the remuneration to his actors properly.
This leads to many people being fond of him as a producer. Kalaippuli S Thanu is one of the biggest producers in Tamil film industry. He started his career as a distributor and graduated to being a filmmaker with "Yaar" in the year 1985. He has produced over 25 films, including "Thuppakki," "Kaakha Kaakha" and "Aalavandhan."
He is also credited for giving the tag name of superstar to Rajinikanth.
On the other hand, Kalaippuli S Thanu's "Theri" has turned out to be a hit movie at the overseas box office. The movie, which is written and directed by Atlee Kumar, has Samantha and Amy Jackson in the female leads.
Meanwhile, the teaser from his "Kabali" was released recently and it was met with stupendous response from the audience. In just three days, it has crossed 10 million hits on YouTube. The upcoming flick is written and directed by Pa Ranjith and has Radhika Apte in the female lead role.
