The 63rd Filmfare Awards (2016) was held at Hyderabad Convention Centre, on Saturday, June 18. The grand event was attended by who's who of Southern film industry. It was started at 6 pm and wrapped up at 12 am.

Chinmayee and Rahul Ravindran hosted the 63rd Filmfare Awards. Kannada actress Haripriya started the proceedings with her energetic performance and the first award to be given on the day was the Best Cinematography Award to KK Senthil Kumar for his brilliant work in "Baahubali."

The awards, instituted by the Times Group, is an annual event that unities the four South Indian film industries (Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada). 

Stars who Graced the Event
Mega star Chiranjeevi, Mammootty, Suriya, Chiyaan Vikram, Rana Daggubati, Allu Arjun, Ram Charan Teja, Puneeth Rajkumar, Nivin Pauly, Arya, Nayanthara, Dhanush, Suriya, Venkatesh, Jayam Ravi, AR Rahman, Anushka Shetty and many others were spotted.

Actresses who added color to the event
Payal Ghosh, Pranitha, Amy Jackson, Sai Pallavi, Rakul Preet Singh, Ritwika Singh, Parul Yadav, Catherine Tresa, Parvathy, Aparna Vinod and a host of actresses walked the red carpet in their designer clothes.

The awards ceremony is being hosted by Chinmayi and Rahul Ravindran. The event is graced by the who's who of four industries, including Chiyaan Vikram, Ram Charan Teja, Venkatesh, Mammootty, Mohan Babu, Allu Arjun, Dulquer Salmaan and Puneeth Rajkumar.

This year, SS Rajamouli's magnum opus "Bahubali" and Mahesh Babu's "Srimanthudu" have dominated the Telugu nomination list. Mani Ratnam's "Ok Kanmani" is leading in Tamil, "Krishna Leela," "RangiTaranga" rule the Kannada list. Prithviraj Sukumaran's "Ennu Ninte Moideen," Dulquer Salmaan's "Charlie" and Mammootty's "Pathemari" have been nominated in most of the Malayalam categories.
