Five years ago Salman Khan joined Twitter with an aim to entertain his fans in 140 characters or less. But, it wasn't just his decision.
The superstar thanked Sonakshi Sinha and Arbaaz Khan for introducing him to the micro-blogging site.
"5 yrs on twitter! Thx to arbaaz," he posted and added, "N sorry, sonakshi devi too, she also had a small part to play in me joining twitter n counting followers. Thx dubli patli sonakshi devi." He also thanked his followers and fans for showering him with love on social media.
Trending for two days straight (#5YearsOfSalmanOnTwitter), Salman is extremely active and occasionally shares videos and photos from film sets or even otherwise. He also uses the site to spread awareness about his charitable trust Being Human in subtle ways.
The actor's fan went into celebratory mode, congratulating and wishing him for achieving a social media milestone. Here are some of the tweets:
