Goundamani has returned with a bang in political-satire "49-0". The Tamil movie is written and directed by P Arokkiyadoss, a former associate of leading filmmaker Gautham Menon.
Balasingh, Chaams, Kalavani Thirumurugan, Motta Rajendran and others are in the cast. "49-0" has the music of K with Aadhi Karuppiah's cinematography and Paramesh Krishna's editing.
The movie revolves around the plights of farmers. It tries to expose the misuse of power by the political class and the nexus between bureaucrats and real estate.
"49-0" is made with a moderate budget and mainly banks on the popularity of 76-year-old Goundamani.
